Divorce, custody and maintenance
Almost nobody arrives here with a legal question. They arrive with practical ones: who the children stay with, what happens to the flat, how long this will take. This page explains the procedure; the rest is what the first meeting is for.

Siblings inherit, there is a flat in the middle and no agreement in sight. Most of the work is sorting out paperwork and deadlines, and that part is identical whether or not everyone agrees. The argument, when there is one, comes later.

This work is done on the employee's side. You have been dismissed, you are owed money, or you have been on sick leave for months and nobody explains what you are entitled to. The first thing looked at is not the merits: it is the date.

A summons as a suspect, a hearing for a minor offence, an accident with injuries. Before anything else, you need to know in what capacity you are being called and what each step carries with it — and that is read in the file, not guessed.

Tenancies, building management and consumer
Tenancies, damp coming from the flat upstairs, a levy nobody explained, a bank clause nobody read. Small matters that fester because nobody answers the first letter.
